IT Engineer

Hours: Full time

Salary: Dependent on experience

Location: Carlisle & Annan, with travel to customer sites

We’re looking for a practical, customer-focused IT Support & Field Technician who can combine first-line helpdesk support with hands-on work at customer sites.

Your day-to-day role will primarily involve supporting customers remotely, troubleshooting Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware, networking and connectivity issues. When field work is scheduled, you’ll attend customer sites to carry out structured cabling, equipment installation, hardware deployment, fault-finding and project work.

Previous cabling experience is desired, including working with Cat5e/Cat6 cabling, patch panels, faceplates and network cabinets. Experience with fibre, hosted telephony, switches, wireless networks or wider infrastructure is desirable, although ongoing training will be provided and expected as part of the role.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of both IT support and practical engineering work and wants to continue developing across a broad range of technologies.
